JOB TITLE: Freelance Designer
LOCATION: UK-based, remote working
WORKING HOURS: Flexible as projects required. This role is in support of our existing designer
RATE: Competitive, dependent on experience

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Freelance Designer, to deliver digital and social media design work for our clients, working independently, and also in partnership with our existing Freelance Designer.
We’d like you to have knowledge of:
? Design processes: Briefing, templates, working with existing brand guidelines
✍️ Design tools: Photoshop etc
? Digital: Platform specifications – our work is almost all digital only etc. Experience designing for social platforms and social campaigns would be beneficial
? Client servicing: Normally client handling will be handled by other team members, but direct client handling may be required on occasion – for example on fast-turnaround edits. An understanding of client servicing would be beneficial
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Reporting to empower’s existing Designer, and the Directors of empower, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, actioning and clarifying briefs
- Templating, creating and delivery
- Content sourcing, eg: images
- Client handling (limited)
WHO YOU ARE
You are a creative Designer, with an eye for impactful content, and a passion to do good through your work. Quick to build relationships at all levels, you thrive working in a fast-paced and dynamic team.
Ready to learn and actively seek more work, you’re dedicated to continually learning and improving your skills, to deliver the highest-quality service to empower’s clients.
You love to be active and would be a natural ambassador for the empower team.
Experience of remote working and a background in working in agencies a bonus.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL HAVE
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Fluency in English to a native level
- Extremely well-organised and practical
- Amazing at email communication and inbox management
- Comfortable working independently on tasks
- No degree needed – we’re more interested in your ideas and experience
