Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Empower is a small team, but we work on causes that are global and affect people from marginalised groups the most. We recognise the makeup of our team should mirror this and that having a diverse and inclusive team empowers us to better serve our clients and the causes we support.
Empower is committed to creating a diverse environment, where employees feel safe and empowered to share different ideas, perspectives and experiences in a collaborative and creative work environment.
Equality and inclusion are at the heart of our culture. We recognise the strengths that our differences bring to the organisation, we celebrate the value in our different perspectives and we embrace the variety of lived experiences that enrich our team and our work.
We welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life and we are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and Disability Confident Committed.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, disability, gender confirming surgery, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (which includes colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policy
Diversity, equity and inclusion is a crucial part of our core values at Empower and help us to deliver our mission.

Introducing The Halo Code
We are excited to announce that Empower has adopted The Halo Code, the UK’s first Black hair code. No Black employee should have to change their natural or protective hairstyle in order to thrive at work. We hope that the Halo Code will move us one step closer to a world free from discrimination, where all Black members of our community have their identities fully recognised and celebrated.

Inclusive recruitment process
Applying for a job can be really stressful, especially if you are not sure what to expect.
It is really important to us that all potential applicants get the opportunity to show us their talents at every stage of the recruitment process so we have put together some guidance outlining how we do recruitment at Empower so you know what to expect when applying for a job with us.
Diverse Careers
At Empower, we value people above all else. We know the happier the people we work with are, the better our work will be.
The better Empower’s work, the happier our clients are. Because of this, we make sure that everyone who works at Empower feels supported, challenged and inspired.
