After six years of operation as Montfort, we’re excited to share with you, the new empower agency brand.

We’re excited to share with you, the new empower agency brand.

After six years of operation as Montfort, which was a personal name for the founders and served us well, we felt it was time for a new more representative name.

Working as a team, we settled on empower:



VERB (transitive)

  1. to give or delegate power or authority to
  2. to give ability to; enable or permit

As we continue to grow and expand our services we want our brand to best reflect why we exist, what we believe in, and where we’re headed.

We chose empower as it resonated with us to mean generosity, team work, making space for, showing up for, giving voice to, and lifting up others.

We felt that empower had a values-fit with our culture:

  • We empower our clients to do better work.
  • Our clients in turn, empower others, through their cause-based work.
  • We empower our team, clients and suppliers to enjoy good, balanced lives.

And with our core principles – the 3 Cs:

  • We care.
  • We create.
  • We change.

And with our company purpose, which remains the same:

empower’s mission is to help people and purpose-led organisations around the world use digital tools to create and communicate positive social and environmental impact.

Keeping these three Cs at the heart of everything we do as empower, helps us to maintain our core values as we go about our work or come to make decisions.

We’re the same team of digital experts, continuing to deliver innovative digital campaigns and to help charities and for-purpose brands accelerate positive change.

We’ve written more about the empower agency culture and the steps we’re taking from cause-based clients, to low-carbon travel and four-day weeks, to empower our clients and team to live and work their very best.

We feel that the new empower logo, developed by our brilliant designer Scarlet Cummins, is a modern representation of our new brand – the lower case ‘e’ gives a softer touch to the power we give to our campaigns, the elevated ‘o’ showing how we help to raise up our clients and their work, and with the ability to change the ‘o’ to different symbols to celebrate different causes or awareness days.

We’ve also got a new set of empower team photos, thanks to the creative flair of photographer Julius Manipon. Although our team works remotely, we are a team and a set of cohesive team headshots and group photos is important to reflect this. We’re also a friendly bunch, which we hope the photos show.
