Celebrating promotions this summer!

It’s been a busy few months at Empower, from hosting two internships and completing annual appraisals, to launching a website refresh and organising our summer social.

As part of the appraisal process, we also decided to introduce ‘Senior’ role titles, as a way to recognise and reward the level that team members are working at.

With that in mind, we are delighted to announce several new promotions: Hannah B, Hannah L-W, and Ally!

It is always a joy to see the Empower team grow and develop, both as an agency and as individuals, and we’re so excited to see all three flourish in their new roles.

 

Hannah Brennan – Account Director to Senior Account Director

Hannah joined us in 2021, bringing over nine years of experience in purpose-led digital comms. Since then, she has become an integral part of Empower.

Hannah’s client-servicing skills are second to none, and she has truly led by example on what great account management can look like, building out first the Account Manager team, and then the Account Director team. Her breadth of knowledge is hugely valued, as is her grounded and no nonsense approach to problem-solving and delivering complex campaigns for Empower’s biggest clients.

Always a voice of calm and a source of wisdom, Hannah is now sharing her expertise internally as a line manager and member of the senior management team.

Hannah Lloyd-West – Account Manager to Senior Account Manager

It has been a pleasure to have Hannah at Empower for the last two and half years. Hannah is thoughtful and considerate to colleagues and clients alike, bringing thorough organisation, efficiency and watertight management skills to every project she works on.

Drawing on over five years experience in community, social, and account management, she has seamlessly integrated into her clients’ teams, providing counsel on all things digital comms. This was never more tested than when Hannah was flown out to COP27 (one of Empower’s select few to have attended COP in person!) to act as an embedded member of the High Level Champions team during their most important moment in the year.

As a core member of Empower’s EDI Team, Hannah’s insights have also been deeply appreciated, particularly her commitment to raising understanding of Neurodiversity, and what it means to be a Neuroinclusive workplace.

Ally Appau-Bonsu – Paid Media Executive to Senior Paid Media Executive

In the last year, Ally has made a huge impact to Empower’s paid team and service, delivering exemplary and innovative work for a wide array of clients. Her detailed and strategic approach to planning paid media campaigns has raised the bar at Empower, and led to many successful campaigns under her belt.

She has also made valuable contributions to internal teams and projects, including developing best practice resources for the paid media team, recruitment, and mentoring Fadumah, one of Empower’s 2024 interns.

Fantastically organised and always up to date on the latest in paid media, Ally also balanced her workload with studying for her Meta exams, passing both with flying colours!
