Reach 16-24 year olds with messages from the Houses of Parliament, during Parliament Week – traditionally a more history / schools-focused campaign

THE APPROACH

Social media friendly content was developed as the bedrock of day-to-day management. Instagram was joined, to reach the target audience. A key social-led idea identified a ‘Campaigner of the Week’, from our community, celebrated and amplified them across all our channels through each week.

THE RESULTS

  • Reach: 5,425,720 of whom 1,356,430 can be estimated to be UK 16-24s
  • 4,701 engaged UK 16-24s – tweeted, ‘liked’, followed, sent a photo
  • 88% of messages & events feedback submitted by UK 16-24s
  • 38% of new Twitter followers are UK 16-24s – a 72% increase in target connections 81% of new Instagram followers are UK 16-24 year olds
